About

KINEDOK CONFERENCE    As the media landscape continues to evolve and audience habits shift across platforms and generations, the question of how documentary film can remain visible, relevant, and shared becomes ever more pressing. This year’s KineDok Conference opens a space for reflection, exchange, and inspiration, bringing together professionals from across the international documentary community to consider new pathways of connection between films and the viewers of tomorrow. Join us for a conversation that looks beyond traditional models and imagines fresh possibilities for the future of audience engagement. KineDok is an international community-driven distribution project of the Institute of Documentary Film. This project is supported by Creative Europe MEDIA, Ministry of Culture Czech Republic, Czech Audiovisual Fund and the capital city of Prague.   We cordially invite you to the panel discussion Reaching the Next Generation: Distribution Strategies for Young Audiences, which will take place on March 19 at 7:00 PM at Cinema 35. How can filmmakers, producers, and distributors effectively reach young audiences in today’s fragmented media landscape? This panel explores current and emerging distribution strategies targeting children and young adults, from festivals and cinemas to digital platforms, educational contexts, and regional initiatives. Drawing on concrete case studies and international experience, the discussion will focus on where young audiences are today, how their viewing habits are changing, and what kinds of distribution models and partnerships can help content reach the next generation. Join experts like Paul Rieth, Magdalena Żelasko and Katharina Bergfeld for an engaging conversation. Other invited guests will be confirmed. The discussion will be held in english and translated to czech for those who are interested.

By attending the event, visitors give permission to have their person photographed and audiovisually recorded for the promotional purposes of the KineDok project.
