On 2 November, KineDok invites you to a special screening of the documentary Death of Death, taking place at six venues across the Czech Republic:
(A)Void Floating Gallery, Prague
Klementinka Community Centre, Mladá Boleslav – the screening will take place at Havelský Cemetery in Mladá Boleslav
Sektor 9, Prague
Futra, Orlová
Y: Coffee, Pilsen
Vyšehrad Purkrabství, Prague
The main event will take place at Vyšehrad Purkrabství in Prague, where the screening will be followed by a moderated discussion with the film’s producer, Radim Procházka, and scientist Jan Pačes. The evening and the discussion will be hosted by Zuzana Burešová from Czech Radio. 🎥 A recording of the discussion will be published the following day, 3 November, on the Institute of Documentary Film’s YouTube channel. It will be available free of charge to audiences at all participating venues, as well as to the general public.
By attending the event, visitors give permission to have their person photographed and audiovisually recorded for the promotional purposes of the KineDok project.

The essayistic documentary by director Dāvis Sīmanis explores not only the contemporary “market for eternal life” but also humanity’s deep-seated desire to transcend mortality. The film raises the question of whether the pursuit of immortality represents a real step toward human liberation or simply another way to cope with the inevitability of death.
